Who are we?
All our contributors are professionally qualified food scientists with many years experience of providing information services for industry. The site editor is Richard Lawley (BSc, MIFST, CBIOL, MIBIOL), a food microbiologist with more than 25 years experience. Richard worked in the food manufacturing industry for many years and has also lectured in food microbiology and food science at London Metropolitan University. From 1997 until 2006 Richard worked for Leatherhead Food International, a leading information provider, as a Senior Scientific Adviser specialising in food safety. He has written and edited several books on microbiology and is the lead author of The Food Safety Hazard Guidebook, which is published by the Royal Society of Chemistry (Click here for more details). He is now turning his experience to making Food Safety Watch a key source of scientific and technical information for industry.
